The International Preservation Studies Center has partnered with Walsh University's Museum Studies Department in North Canton, Ohio, to allow any IPSC participant who wishes to earn academic credit to do so. First, before taking the IPSC workshop, students must be admitted to Walsh as a Transient Student (click on link below for the application form). After the workshop is complete, a grade will be issued by the workshop instructor that will be appear on the Walsh transcript. Students are responsible for checking with their home institutions to be sure that the academic credits earned by means of the IPSC-Walsh University partnership will be accepted by that home institution.
A selected list of IPSC courses are available for academic credit each summer.
The number of credit hours issued according to the following formula:
3-day workshops = 1 credit hour
4-day workshops = 2 credit hours
5-day workshops = 3 credit hours
A student may earn up to 9 credit hours.
