The Emerging Museum Professional Certificate program is designed for professionals with 0-5 years of experience working within the museum field. This program will provide participants with the background knowledge and essential skills needed for a successful career.
To help encourage the next generation of museum professionals, the International Preservation Studies Center is offering a special discount for students who are accepted into the EMP Certificate Program.
EMP Certificate participants can take $100 off EACH of the six program courses.
(A special discount code will be emailed to you once you have been accepted into the program. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts.)
To be considered for the program please submit a resume, and a short letter explaining your future career goals to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The EMP Certificate consists of three required courses and three electives. The three required courses are considered essential in providing an informational foundation for anyone working within a museum setting. The curriculum is designed to address the identification, care, and maintenance of a wide range of collection categories and materials.
The three elective courses are meant to encourage students to concentrate on specific topics or materials that fit their career goals.
The beginning level courses offered in the EMP Certificate program do not require previous experience and are appropriate for beginning professionals, college students, volunteers and others who wish to learn more about the preservation and museum field.
